Uninstalling two Windows updates from April 12 Removing and recreating the Outlook profile and account Changing default browsers and their settings Things that I don't think had any affect: Literally popped up the SAME window and let me authenticate vs before when it threw the Java error. This is when I started suspecting this had nothing to do with Java.Īll I know is that nothing I did made a difference until I resolved the account conflict. That was strange because I am seeing many people with 365 versions having the exact same issue. I then dug in to why it was opening IE at all and found a MS page stating that Office 2019 will only open IE 11 but the 365 version will open the Win 10 default browser.
